Only for Men
Built from scratch for Only for Men, this full-stack e-commerce platform combined an ASP.Net/VB backend with a modern responsive frontend. The project became a launchpad for innovation: the responsive mobile navigation and picture-element image system developed here — both rare in 2015 — were later adopted across 26 other e-commerce client projects.

Roetgerink
A large-scale scratch build for Roetgerink, one of the Netherlands' leading fashion outlets. Beyond the technical complexity of a multi-location platform with rich branding, shop, and location templates, I took on the dual role of developer and project manager — inheriting a pre-approved design with significant flaws, and steering a scope-heavy client relationship through to delivery.

The Beauty Issue
Built for a fashion and beauty influencer with 200,000 Instagram followers who needed a proper web presence to go alongside her social content. A fully custom WordPress theme with Web Components and TypeScript — genuinely cutting-edge in 2016 — featuring a custom blog, affiliate link integration on post overviews and detail pages, and a design that still holds up a decade later. An ongoing relationship: I built it, I host it, and I still maintain it today.

Lavandré
Lavandré is a luxury fragrance and beauty brand that needed a complete web presence built from nothing. I built the entire platform: custom WordPress theme, WooCommerce store, and a bespoke loyalty points program that rewards customers for purchases, referrals, and engagement — using PHP, TypeScript, and native Web Components throughout.

Nature.House
I spent five years at Nature.House as the sole front-end engineer and later the lead of a team of five, owning every significant front-end initiative on a large custom Symfony booking platform. We went from jQuery, no build tooling, zero tests, and a 12–14 second mobile load time to a 150-component Web Component design system, 95%+ front-end code coverage, GitLab CI deploying on every MR, and a 0.7 second mobile load time.

Alphen Energie
The client's existing WordPress site ran on an ancient Avada theme install with years of missed updates across WordPress, PHP, the theme, and all plugins. A full rebuild using WordPress Full Site Editing was the cleaner and faster path — the result is a refreshed, maintainable site the client can actually keep up to date.

Mediacontent
Brought in via Weevers Content to finish a custom WordPress site that had been started by a junior developer. Before I could begin the real work, the site was hit by a hack that installed Russian gambling malware across the entire installation. We recovered from a pre-hack backup, scanned and verified it clean, audited every security and code issue, and refactored the codebase before deploying to production.

Het Nationaal BIM Platform
Het Nationaal BIM Platform ran on the same server as Mediacontent — same hack, same malware. But here the database itself was corrupted beyond recovery. Using locally held data as the source, I rebuilt the entire platform as a WordPress FSE site, recreated all existing features, and built BIM-Q: a Vue-powered survey tool that matches construction professionals with the right BIM software and tracks market interest to support a new business model.

Vera Connect
Vera Connect is a privacy-focused social media app for iOS and Android, built with React Native. I joined the team for four months to build out native calendar integration on both platforms, enabling communities to schedule and coordinate events directly through the app.

Oh My Brand
Oh My Brand is my own freelance agency website, built with WordPress Full Site Editing. Beyond drag-and-drop native blocks, I wrote custom Gutenberg blocks in React and TypeScript using wp-scripts to handle the specific features and layouts the site needed.
